PEANUT WON ON THE LAST POLL

The Many Worlds of Wizard101

Here are the worlds you travel to when you play Wizard101.

Wizard City
The starting point of your adventure, Wizard City homes your schools and dormitory. Merle Ambrose lives here. You receive many of your beginning quests here. Levels 1-15 are usually found doing quests here. It also houses one of the most popular hangout places in the spiral, The Commons.

Krokotopia
Krokotopia is the home of Balance. Based off of Egypt, this desert filled land is home of the Kroks, walking reptiles in many bright colors. The Order of the Fang resides here, fighting against woken mummified Kroks and the evil Krokopatra. The Oasis is the starting place. Many level 15-20 wizards will be seen here.

Marleybone
Based off of Marylbone, England, Marleybone is the sleepy world of dogs and cats. Evil Meowiarty lurks in Big Ben, controlling the streets and making trouble for the Marleybonians. Marleybone is a dark, windy, stormy city. Regents Square is the starting place for Marleybone. No one is ever seen here. If you travel the many back streets of Marleybone, you are unlikely to meet anyone other than monsters. Level 20-30 is typically found here.

Mooshu
Mooshu is a world based off of Japan. The creatures here are farm animals, such as cows, pigs, goats, and other such creatures. It is a lush world with many bright colors and beautiful gardens. The Jade Palace is the starting point. It is an in the middle area, not popular and not unpopular. A few people can usually be found here. Level 30-40 wizards usually quest here.

Dragonspyre
Dragonspyre is the home of Malistaire, the greatest threat to the spiral. It is based of of Ancient Rome, with tall pillars and temples. Malistaire lurks at the top of a volcano, ready to fight anyone who dares challenge him. The main theme here is lava and dragons, with ghostly soldiers tossed into the mix. The starting place for Dragonspyre is The Basilica. Levels 40-50 are commonly found here.

Celestia
Celestia is the underwater home of aliens and strange underwater creatures. It is based off of Atlantis. Commonly found creatures are sharks, eels, and fish. Many expeditions of Marleybonians have gotten lost in Celestia's glass-domed passageways, and failed to return. The starting point for Celestia is Celestia Base Camp. (This is the first world where you are introduced to the Morganthe storyline.) Level 50-58 wizards are typically found here.

Annoying Vacuuming

Here is what has happened to me today:

I get up out of bed at 8:30 this morning, tired and rather annoyed that I have been woken up early. I went downstairs and had a good breakfast of cereal. Then I worked on my puzzle for a bit.
Beth and Dad: Maddie, you need to get dressed for swimming lessons!
Me: But Dad, it's raining! I can't possibly go!
Dad: You are going to be wet anyway. Your going!
Me: Fine.....

So I went up to my room to get dressed. Then me, Beth, and Ashleigh left for Contocook Lake.
When I got to my swimming lesson, no one was there. We waited 15 minutes, and then my friends and my teacher showed up. I was quite happy.

In class, we did 40 bobs underwater, (Me, Shayla, and some other kid only did 10.) We worked on our frog kick, and we all were doing good. My favorite is still the dog paddle though. I ended up swimming out to the buoys with my teacher at the end of class. I can't believe I FINALLY did it!

When I came home, Dad went to pick up my grandparents for shopping. He has yet to return. I almost got stuck watching Ashleigh while Beth did the vacuuming, but she was being obnoxious and hitting so I didn't have to. HUZZAH!

Sisterhood Part.... 5???

"Big sisters are crab grass in the lawn of life." -Charles Schulz
Too true! I sometimes unintentionally annoy my sister to the point of crying. I will antagonize her by eating food in front of her, and by yelling and screaming at the top of my lungs. Sometimes I will even make HER jealous by saying things like "My Mom" or "My Dad".

"Having a sister is like having a best friend you can't get rid of. You know whatever you do, they'll still be there." -Amy Li
My sister follows me EVERYWHERE! She never stops copying what I say and do, just trying to be like me. She thinks I am some kind of idol for worshiping. One day, she heard me say shut up, and since then she says it just to annoy me.

She also likes to hang out with MY friends, and play the games we play. I had to teach her how to play WAR the correct way with us so she'd stop ruining the game on us. She didn't understand that my friends didn't want to play "Give me all the cards so I can be entertained".

Also, she loves dressing up in my clothing. She will come up to me and ask to play dress up so she can be like me. She also loves being in my room and playing on my "big girl" bed. I am proud to have her as my sister.

Swimming Lessons

Today at 10:30, I went for my first swimming lesson. It was fun, AND GUESS WHAT! My teacher said that I could move up a level! So tomorrow I will go a half hour early and join the level 3-4 swim class. I hope there are more people my age there, as I got stuck with only 1 10 year old and a 5 year old and a 4 year old.

Well, I didn't really learn much today. We played a few games and stuff and then for like the last 2 minutes we did the dog paddle. I don't know just how much I am going to be learning. From the looks of it, not much at all.

The teacher is really nice though. I think her name is Sara or something like that... I don't know. At least I wasn't the only new kid. The 4 year old was new too. Here are some of the water games we played:

Drip Drip Drench- You take a cup of water and you go around a circle dribbling water on to people's heads. When you find the right person, you dump the whole cup of water on their head.

Marco Polo- Is there any need to explain?! Everyone knows what Marco Polo is!

Sisterhood Part 4

My sister always comes in to give me and Dad hugs and kisses. She is also really fun to play with. We wrestle and play hide and seek and even a game I made up called "My Couch. Whenever I lie down on the couch, or on the floor, Ashleigh will tackle me and hug me. She is like a 24/7 best friend. She is funny too. One time, we were playing hide and seek, and she hid behind the curtains. I called out: "Where's Ashleigh?" and out of the living room came: "I no know!". It was hilarious.

Sisterhood can be fun, but it can also be a big responsibility. As one person states, "You and I are sisters. Always remember that if you fall, I will pick you up. After I finish laughing." Ah, the beauty of growing up and looking back at how stupid you were... some moments can only be shared with sisters.

As the author of Snoopy puts it, "Big sisters are the crab grass in the lawn of life." --Charles M. Schulz. Well thank you very much, Mr. Schulz! I suppose that wonderful noggin of yours didn't think that SOME big sisters might be annoyed and somewhat offended....

Meanwhile! "A younger sister is someone to use as a guinea pig in trying sledges and experimental go-carts. Someone to send on messages to Mom. But someone who needs you- who comes to you with bumped heads, grazed knees, tales of persecution. Someone who trusts you to defend her. Someone who thinks you know the answers to almost everything." -- Pam Brown

Which, I guess, is kind of true... and sadly, Mr. Schulz is PROBABLY, only PROBABLY correct.

Swimming

Today I am going to a local lake for a visit with my mom! We are going to be swimming. This is the first time I have ever seen my mom get into the water and try to swim. I didn't think she knew the meaning of a bathing suit. I'll find out if she is a swimmer or not ....  not that I should talk as I can BARELY swim.

I can only stay in a dog paddle for ten seconds. I HATE going underwater for more than five seconds. And I can't swim regularly to save my life. I love swimming.... yet I hate it! I have been practicing over the summer, so when my nanny Nancy came back, I was practiced in the art of swimming. Kind of.

HEY! That's another piece of news! Nancy has been in France for this past month, and yesterday I got to see her! I had missed her a lot. For those of you who wanted to hear the 4th part of the sisterhood paper, it will be out tomorrow. I just wanted to put this one out. (And take a break from sisterhood.)

Well I am going to go eat my breakfast now, since I rushed into work before eating. I am getting VERY hungry, and when I get hungry, I get a bad mood. And trust me, you do not want to see Bad Mood Maddie.

Goodbye,
Maddie

Sisterhood Part 3

Ashleigh lets me dress her up in long gowns and such, and then shoot music videos with her. We have so much fun. Ashleigh also bakes chocolate chip cookies with me. She loves chocolate chips (Just like sister).  Me and Ashleigh have a tradition. Whenever we go to the mall, we catch a fun ride on the mall train. Tickets are $2 per person for a trip around the mall.

We have tons of fun doing it. Then we usually get ice cream. One time, I got a medium strawberry hard serve that was gigantic, and me and Ashleigh split it right down the middle. I never knew a two year old could pack down so much ice cream!

One time, my sister scratched her head and started to bleed. I started crying really hard because I was worried about her. Ashleigh, even though she is just 2, is already learning karate from me and Dad. I am very proud to have her as my sister.

At night, Ashleigh always comes in to give me and dad hugs and kisses good night, and before her naps too. She is very sweet, and loves hanging out with us in the office. Every morning, Dad will read a book to her to start off her day.

Sisterhood Part 2

My sister is usually agreeable, but I have to accept that she has her own opinion. Usually she has some pretty neat ideas. I know this is off topic, but Ashleigh is also really pretty. That is, on the inside and out. Ashleigh makes a good effort to do what you say.

Example:

Ashleigh had given me her Pooh Bear doll to take care of like a baby. I asked her for a blanket for him. She went and got one. I asked her for a baby bottle, a toy one that she owns. She brought back a cup. I asked her for a bottle again. This repeated several times until she started crying because she couldn't find it. I felt really bad for her.

Ashleigh will comfort me when I am crying or upset. She will then usually yell at whoever made me cry. She even yelled at my Mom once, after she scolded me. THAT was quite a sight to see...

There are seven parts to this series. It will continue until it is done. It is all about sisterhood revolving around me and my sister.
Starring:
Ashleigh James Nef
Madison Margaret Nef

Sisterhood Paper- Part 1

WHY I SHOULD BE NICE TO MY SISTER

I should be nice to my sister because she had a rough start in life. Despite this, she is a very advanced and intelligent baby. She loves me very much, and will look out for me. She backs me up when I most need it, even when a choice is hard to make.
For instance, in the car a few days ago, me and Mom were having a heated argument. Ashleigh took my side and yelled out: "Stupid Mommy!" Let me remind you that Ashleigh loves NO ONE more than Mom. She obviously felt bad for me at that moment. She got me into even BIGGER trouble, but I knew she was just trying to help.

My sister looks up to me sooooooo much. She copies what I do, what I say, and how I act.

Example: Today in the car, I said the word "loser" for some reason or another. The next thing I knew, my little sister was saying "loser" at the top of her lungs. She said it just to tick me off. I better start watching what I say, or she will be dumping things out everywhere.

Lucky Story

Oh my good heavens! Someone PLEASE let your friendly family pet in! I haven't had breakfast, and I am cold and sad and hungry. Oh good, some has let me in. Wait a second. What is THE GIRL doing up this early? She should still be dozing, shouldn't she? Hmmm. Anyway, straight to breakfast for me ....

Ah, what delicious breakfast. (I say this every day.) "Ok everyone, I am officially going into nap mode, so no one disturb me!" I loudly announce. (I also say this every day, quite clearly. I always get interrupted.) I always make a guess on how long it will take for any one person to annoy me. Like THE GIRL for instance. She likes to give me "kissies" and "huggies" all day. How enraging!

I have special names for all my owners. Here they are, in order of pack rank:
Dad, call him - Alfa Male
THE GIRL - Bada/Owner
?????? - Bada
THAT ONE - Omega/Pest

Wow! I am actually getting a good nap here. Better enjoy it while it lasts.

80 DAY TRIP BLOG IS NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN!

Hello everyone! I wanted to tell you bout my new blog, 80daytrip or Around The World In 80 Days. After I finished reading the book Around The World in 80 Days, Dad told me I had an assignment of creating a blog and traveling the world in 80 days on my blog. This was all well and good until he told me:

A. I could only go 1000 miles a day
B. I had to start in Boston
C. I would use the remaining days after my travel to travel again.

Anyway, I have been doing good with my blog and have decided to release it for the world to see. It is: www.80daytrip.blogspot.com. I have so far traveled to Chicago and I am on my way to Denver, Colorado. After Denver comes Death Valley CA, after that, Sacramento. Then I am probably going off-land on a cruise adventure to- oh, I don't know yet.

Anyway, please check out my 80daytrip blog and leave comments, tell me how I am doing.
Thanks,
Maddie

The Wizard 101 Circus!

Storm Shark Thoughts: I have you now, dinner!
Storm Shark Thoughts: Master, I love You
The circus took this poor mander's breath away!
These are photos I have taken in game. I have decided to turn them into a circus! Prepare yourself for a wonderful circus experience!
Our Circus Trainer, Mr. Pumpkin! He trains the circus people to perform acrobatics and dance.

Our Unicorn Trainer, Ms. Willow, has been working with us for quite a while now. She is wonderful with the animals and has trained the unicorns to perform beautifully.
Ms. Fira, Mr. Winter's hired bird act. She also teaches newly hatched birds to fly.
The amazing Gonzo the snake charmer! He can charm any snake with his magic blowing pipes and hypnotic dance.
More circus acts will come soon. This is just the beginning and I wanted to see how this would work out. I think I am going to keep this up. Happy circus!

Visits to the aquatic section can be somewhat dangerous without  supervision. Take this storm shark for instance.
Prepare yourself for- the first ever circus act!
Our grumpy circus boss, Mr. Winter. Don't get on HIS bad side.
The unicorn charmer's act takes courage and talent. Unicorns can be quite vicious at times- especially when they are actually people that have just been magically transformed into a unicorn!

Family Feud= Most Awesome Game EVER!!!!!!

I play Family Feud on facebook, and I am super good at it. I started playing because one of my close friends sent me a request, and since I like the iPod version, I decided I would try facebook's version. I was horrible at first. But then I started getting second place instead of third place....

I started to figure out how the game worked, and I kept getting second place. I was really mad, because I barely had any coins left to play with. So I decided to take my playing up a step. I started thinking harder, and soon enough, I had my first ever first place!

Since then, I have come in first place every time. In my ring of friends, I have the highest score. I am psyched. If any one of my friends on facebook are reading this, challenge me! I can hold my position like a dog guarding the biggest, juiciest steak ever!

Happy 4th of July Everyone!!!

Today was really great. It started with a visit with my mom, which went awesome. We watched some videos on my iPod, and listened to music. Later on, the whole family got together for a wonderful cookout, hosted by my dad. We kept it simple with cheeseburgers.

For dessert, we had vanilla pudding. I wanted to be festive so I mixed red and blue food coloring into it. Dad was not very polite about my concoction, and said it looked like...like.... I'm not even going to say. I guess it did look KIND of disturbing... Anyway.

Later that night I went to see the fireworks with my nanny Beth and her daughter Esther. They were really good. There were some smiley face ones, and some ones that looked like pixie dust falling down.

Some were really stinky because the people setting off the fireworks set them off too low, and it looked like the trees were fireworks. I guess it was kind of cool. I just recently got back from doing that, and played my favorite computer game, wizard101, for a little.

Then dad said I had to write my think a thought. I DID NOT want to get off my game just then, so I came up with an easy solution: download the Blogger app to my iPod!!! It worked, and I am currently working from my iPod. Of course, I will most likely have to edit it on the computer, but so what. It's a lot of fun to write like this!!!

Ok, I have now edited my Think a Thought and have found that I need to add 2 more darned paragraphs. I hate extra work! Maybe I can find some really good pictures really quick before bed and add them in ....

I'm sorry I peed in the house master! I never thought it would end this way...

A Quick Run Over of My Day

Here is what I did today:
9:00 a.m. (Woke up, brushed teeth, got dressed, etc.)
9:05 a.m. (Started cleaning my room, which was a total disaster and still is to some extent. Ugh.
9:05-11:45 a.m. (Cleaned my room with Beth. What horrible torture. I HATE cleaning my room.)
9:05-11:45 a.m. (Did I mention that Ashleigh WAS GOING THROUGH MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS the whole time???)
11:46 a.m. (Run out the door, time for a visit with Mom. Darn, I haven't eaten anything all day!!!)
12:00-2:00 p.m. (Visiting with my mom. Fun, but it is very hot out. I ended up going wading with mom in my dress. Ashleigh soaked up the sun at a park and I ran around frantically trying to get an iPod signal.)
2:00-NOW!!!! (I am sitting down writing this Think a Thought. My sister is sound asleep upstairs. Good night readers.)

4th of July Poetry

Fireworks,
Barbecues,
Cookouts and fun,
Ice cream and swimming,
Under the sun,
When the stars light up the sky,
Fireworks and sparklers fly,
I'll be up all night to see them,
Happy 4th of July!

School is out!
(At least for some,)
Lots of time to sing and run,
Those who play and sing and dance,
Fun they'll stay forever more,
Those who love to dare and chance,
Heck, they're crazy!
Those who love to work AND play,
Will get rewards for work someday.
