Follower Reader's Requests Wanted Immediately

I have been having a tough time finding things to write about. This is why I like reader's requests. I wish that my followers would give me some ideas in the future. I appreciate that I have all of you reading my blog, but it would help me a lot if you put in ideas.

Think a Thought is a good way to get answers to your questions, and I do not mind doing extra research  to get you the right answers. It's all in a day's work to keep my reader's happy. Remember the rules:
Nothing inappropriate for a 10 year old
Nothing too way far out, like how many stars are there in the sky
And most of all, no fake questions to make me do triple my work. Please read your answer when you put in a question.

I am open for almost any type of writing. This is a variety site, so if you see something that needs improvement, don't be afraid to put it up!

Thanks,
Maddie

Happy Saint Patty's Day! ( Sorry about being late. )

Happy Saint Patrick's Day! I know it's a bit late, but think a thought isn't running during the weekend. My day went well, and everyone in my family was decked out in green. I even had Lucky ready to go! Here is what we all wore:

Me: My green hoodie, a green shirt, and a green hair tie. ( I was the Saint Patrick's Day Queen of Green! )

Dad: Dark green sweatshirt. Not at all festive, but I give him points for trying.

Lucky Guppa: Green collar. You can't exactly dress a dog, and you WON'T find my dog running around with those prissy coats on.

Ashleigh: Green hair tie. I blame Dad.

So all in all, things went well for me. I hope that you had a great day too.

The Five Rules Of Karate and How To Live Them

Here are the five rules of Karate and how to live them.

Effort- Try to put your all into everything you do, and work your hardest to achieve your goals. Whenever I do a karate tournament, I put all my effort into trying to win first place.

Etiquette- To have good manners, no matter where you go. I try to have good manners MOST of the time, but I sometimes forget myself.

Sincerity- To be honest and true. EVERYONE lies at least ONCE, but this rule indeed is one of the harder ones. I try to be honest most of the time but it gets hard.

Character- Who you are. You don't want to be a bad character. You want to be a good character, and not do tons of things wrong.

Self Control- The hardest rule of karate. You must control your mind and your body when you are mad at someone so that you don't hurt them.

These are all techniques you should try to use as you live your everyday life. They help you a lot. They help you be a better person and have more respect for people and places. They can't solve everything, but they can help things go a little smoother.

Poetry

My Lucky
Lucky is the best dog,
That I have ever known,
He may not be the smartest,
But loyalty is shown.
He isn't very trained now,
But years are still to come,
And when I'm done with Lucky,
He'll be smarter than some.

The Big Rock
There is a big rock,
That sits in the yard,
To climb on top,
Is not too hard,
To feel the wind blow through your hair,
'Cause on my rock you can catch air,
To feel it drifting here and there,
To see my yard from way up high,
'Cause on my rock I'm in the sky.

The Spider

 The Spider
I look up to a corner,
And what might I see,
But a round little spider,
Staring at me!
I got my shoe ready and took a whack,
But that darned spider fell down my back!
I squirmed and I wiggled,
I jumped and I screamed,
My, this was worse than any nightmare I've dreamed!
The spider fell out, and onto the floor,
At last I thought he was no more,
But that spider got up!
He stood up proud,
He talked wise words, clear and loud:
I am sorry about staring,
I know that it's rude,
But the way that you smush us is very crude.
I want you to stop it,
We'll leave you alone,
Said the small little spider in serious tone,
So I got up and agreed,
Our battle was won,
And now was time for playing and fun!

Exploration

Not this ......
I went out exploring in the woods with Lucky yesterday. It was really fun. And when I say exploring, I mean EXPLORING.
Not this .....
THIS.
Me and Lucky have a trail that we take every time we go into the woods. We go deep in, to a place that I call paradise. ( It's just a nickname. ) It is a large cluster of pine trees and a soft grassy floor to sit on. You have to go through loads of prickly trees to get there, but it's nice when you can finally sit down and rest.

In addition to all of that, I met Lucky's friend. I don't know his name, but he is a Labrador too. He is black as night with a white streak down his belly. He seemed friendly, so I left a biscuit for him. Lucky seems to like playing with him. They run all throughout the woods, barking and growling. It is quite a sight.

The Most Stupid Presentation Ever

Dad was listening to a presentation he had gotten by email, and I had asked him what it was about. He said it was about natural gas and such, but I decided to listen anyway. It was long and boring, but then, at the end of it, the guy started his marketing speech. Here is how it went to me:

I would really love for YOU to pay ME YOUR hard-earned money, for one newsletter a month. That way, I can go on another vacation so I can take worthless pictures and say that they are of ME inspecting rocks for natural gas. For these pictures to work, you actually have to believe I know what I'm looking at. I do. It's a rock.

By getting my newsletter, you have nothing to lose. ( Except your time, money, and dignity. ) So I really hope you decide to subscribe for a one year membership. Remember, our motto is: Always save your money, but feel free to spend it on us!

Lucky Story

Hi there! It's me, Lucky. I am a happy camper today, because no one has really yelled at me or swatted me. I have just gotten to relax the day away. I am laying at my mistress' feet. I always lay by her when the alpha male is gone. I feel sort of protected- but not by much.

Now my mistress is eating something that smells like chicken and cheese. Boy, does it smell good! I really want a bite- so I am going to beg  pitifully. Yes! I got a piece! But ew!!! It doesn't taste like I thought it would. I am trying to decide if I should snub it or not.\

Now another person has come in- a person named Beth. I know she ALWAYS yells at me. Ugh. I hid under the desk. I felt it was safe to give a friendly sniff, but I got yelled at. Big surprise. I want to take a nap.
Goodbye.

Ashleigh's Dream

Ashleigh was having a really good dream. She was in dessert land, which was a big land made entirely out of desserts. Houses made of cake and jello, rivers of caramel, flowers with chocolate centers, a total dream land. She was sitting on a chair made entirely out of wobbly, floppy jelly. She bounced on it, laughing. This was her kind of place!

Ashleigh decided that while she was in this perfect miracle land, she might as well eat. She ran into a meadow, where there were flowers made entirely of chocolate. She picked one, and bit into it, chewing contently. It was absolutely DELICIOUS! Ashleigh wondered if any people live in the dream land. She decided to find out.

She walked over to a jelly house and walked in. Nobody was there. She walked to the cake house. Nobody. She searched all the houses, but there were no people to talk to. Scared, she started to cry. But then she smelled a familiar smell ... a smell she loved .... BUTTERSCOTCH PUDDING!!!!!!!! Where was the source of this beautiful smell! She ran to the river, and saw that it was entirely butterscotch pudding. She happily jumped in, and woke up chewing her blanket.

Sock Puppet

I have a great craft project to share today. I tried it with my sister, and it was a smashing success. We lose a lot of our socks in the washing machine, and we have had a big pile sitting on our table for days. So yesterday, I put those socks to use. I cut them up and stuffed them to create sock puppets that my sister fell in love with. Here is what I did:

You will need:
Socks
Permanent Marker
Rubber bands

How to do it:
Ok, first take the sock you want as the face and stuff it with other socks until it is the right size for you. Next, right under the stuffed part, tie the rubber band so the stuffing doesn't fall out. Next, cut off some lace and stuff from other socks ( optional ). Decorate your puppet as desired. Then, add a cute face for the finishing touch.

You should now have a really adorable sock puppet. It keeps my sister occupied, and she loves them. I find them cute for decorating.

First Communion

I know that I'm ten, but I haven't had a first communion yet. But my nanny and I have been working on the stuff I need to go for first communion and on May 5th, I will receive my first communion! Also, on the same day, we hope to have my little sister baptized.

My nanny has taught me a lot about the sacraments, sins, confession, about receiving Jesus, everything. I am fully ready to stop being the only one in the choir that hasn't had first communion. Even my best friend, who is younger than me, has had it. I soon will not have to be the only one not to receive!

I can't wait to go shopping for my dress for communion- it'll be so fun! Communion in itself will be fun for me, as I am making it with the group.

That's all for now,
Maddie

Lucky is 1!

My Lucky puppy is now 1 year old officially! His birthday was yesterday, and we got snow for his birthday! Me and my sister celebrated by making chocolate chip cookies. We got one batch into the oven, and then realized we didn't have enough cookie dough left for a few cookies .... just enough for one, big GIGANTIC cookie in the shape of a dog's face.

I think Lucky had a good birthday. He got extra human food, and extra special treatment. Which means Ashleigh was allowed to dump biscuits down his throat whenever she felt like it. ( Just Kidding. I would NEVER let her. ) Everybody said Happy Birthday to Lucky ( I made SURE that they did, or else no one would have remembered at all. )

So, Lucky, Happy Birthday. I know you've had some bad times this year, but your still learning, and by next year, you'll be trained way better! I know your happy that it snowed, as you love the snow. So have a good rest of the year. :) Maddie

America's Weirdest Resturants

Some of these restaurants are amazingly beautiful and look relaxing, but others, you'd have to pay me a million dollars to eat at! Take, for example, the Casa Bonita. Now THAT is my kind of restaurant. This restaurant has been Colorado's best known for over four decades. This action filled restaurant features cliff divers, an arcade section, a portrait collection, and strolling musicians. It seats 1000 customers.

Now, take a look at Dinner in The Sky diner. It's a restaurant made out of a table and chairs suspended in the air with barely any floor. Held up by a crane 160 feet above ground, this is one place I would NOT want to dine at.

These are only 2 of the crazy restaurants this world has come up with. For more crazy restaurants, check this link out:  http://www.cnbc.com/id/42266618?slide=7 This should give you an idea of what crazy dining is- not a packed restaurant safely resting on the ground.
Please take time to put in the comments what your favorite restaurants from the link I gave you are.
