Is it worth it?

to be someone you're not,

Is it worth it?

to be always put on the spot,

tell me how that's working for you...

I prefer to be me,

that's who I want the world to see,

not some model in a pose,

not an actress with a rose,

I'm not a puppet held by strings,

I'm not controlled, I do my own thing,

and in the end,

is it worth it, was it worth it?

did you put on a good show?

I doubt the world will ever know, 

who you really are,

they'll only remember the rising star...
