The Different Water Cycles

Water goes through many different cycles depending on what temperature it is. The cycles are:

Water Cycle Animation created by me =)

Steam and Clouds
When the water evaporates, it creates steam. The steam, which is lighter than air, travels upwards and creates clouds. Evaporation is caused when water hits something extremely hot, or when the sun hits water. While the sun can soak up small things, like puddles, it cannot evaporate large quantities of water, like ponds, lakes, and rivers.

Rain
Rain comes from the clouds, hence the next step in the water cycle. The evaporated water cause a heaviness in the clouds, and this causes rain to fall as the clouds release the water. If there is a hot pavement below, this can sometimes cause mist, which is a form of steam. From rain, the cycle usually restarts. But on occasion, the cycle takes a couple of extra steps.

Snow and Hail
When the temperature drops below 30 degrees Fahrenheit, there is a good chance that ordinary rain will take it's harder form of cold snow. However, the snow is not all that can fall- snow's dangerous cousin, hail, can also be created at these low temperatures. Hailstones are hard ice-balls that fall from the sky and reek havoc on Earth. They have been known to get up to the size of baseballs, and destroy cars and anything else made of glass. They can also kill a person easily, as shown in the slideshow.

Hope you enjoy the slideshow, you can see it in the link above.
