Poetry

I'm not the type to fuss all over my looks,
I don't care if my hair is messy,
I'm really not one to wear skirts ever day,
I'd rather wear jeans, or something less dressy.

I don't take ballet and I really don't want to,
Being a lady doesn't appeal whatsoever,
No stereotypical barbie dolls here,
Give up fighting and karate? Never.

I don't really care what others think of me,
As long as I stay true to myself,
I'll be who I want to be, within the boundaries,
Safely and without damaging my health

So before you tell me to change who I am,
Or to be more ladylike and modest,

Remember it's my life and I'll do as I please,
And even if you don't like what I say, I'll be honest.
