Behind the Cover

Don't judge me,

By what you see,

I'm not the top model in the magazine,

so please,

don't judge me by my cover-

To know my story,

look inside,

don't just skim over,

read between the lines,

build up your trust and you might find,

everyone has a secret they try to hide...

with some it's obvious,

while others make you feel oblivious,

to what they hide away from the world,

its full of hurt,

some lose their faith,

and while I've had every opportunity,

I stand strong,

don't run from your troubles, because its wrong,

they'll only catch you in the end,

so don't pretend,

know that everyone's facing their own fight,

you're not alone,

so sleep well tonight.
