If only you had been more careful,

Had stayed away from the killer,

Maybe you'd be here...

Hugging me instead of watching from above

If only you had put down the glass,

Had realized your error and hit bottom,

Maybe you'd be here...

Laughing with us instead of watching from above

If only the mirror had reflected you,

Had shown you your true beauty,

Maybe you'd be here...

Raising me instead of watching from above

If only I had tried harder,

Had prayed that extra prayer...

Maybe you'd be next to me right now,

Instead of standing in heaven's glare.
