Poetry

Red is for roses,
But also for fire
But red is also the color
Of love and desire
Blue is for violets,
And also the sky
But the sky fades to gray
If the clouds begin to cry
Sweet defines sugar,
But sugar can be fake
And if you are not careful
It will put your life at stake
So you see,
What I'm trying to say...
Is that even the most beautiful things
Can be dark and twisted in their own way.

Poetry

I'm so done
I've tried too hard
And still you pulled
The pity card
I'm fed up with with drama
And all of your lies
Yet I know that you're hurting
I can see it in your eyes
What made you this way?
What turned your heart cold
Was it a twisting of fate,
Some story untold?
I pity, it's true,
Yes, I feel bad for you
But I'm not made of rubber
And your words stick like glue
I can't take all this pain
It doesn't leave with the rain
I can't take all the lies
Buried deep inside
So goodbye for a while
I will leave with a smile
Because I've made a choice that's better for me.

Poetry

A Broken Forever

Sit by me and smile for a bit,
While this childish dream dances round in my head
I know it won't last, that you'll soon be in my past,
But for you, I shall paint my lips red.
Grab my hand and promise me everything
Give me a thin band of silver as proof
But even angels tell lies, as another soul dies,
I cannot deny myself the truth.
We now speak of the future,
And yearn to be together.
But as you talk of the wedding, hell is where this relationship's heading,
And soon, there will only be a broken forever.

Poetry

You rely on everyone around you
Because you claim you can't stand for yourself
How does that feel to the rest of us?
Constantly bending under the weight of your health
Without us... where would you go,
Who would you be?
You neglect us all and trample us....
We're human like you, if you can't see
You're so headstrong,
You're 'always right',
You claim you live for love,
But it's not love, it's a fight
You confuse and abuse
All the privileges you own
If you'd stop confusing yourself,
The path is clearly shown,
There's a simple way to fix this,
This mess you call a life
But you're hellbent on misery,
And making her your wife
It's foolish, your dream
You're too young for this mess
So let go of her,
And let go of the stress
It'll be better in the long run,
Even if it hurts for a while
You're not meant for each other...
Go find a true reason to smile.

Poetry

Don't fear the simplest thing in life
It's a simple question,
What's the worst that could happen?
Sure, she could say no
But she could also say yes...
So tell me, what's the worst that could happen?
I know that you're shy
And I know that you're worried...
But tell me, what's the worst that could happen?
Don't give up your chance
Take the advice of "I hope you dance"
And tell me... what's the worst that could happen?

Poetry

The grand illusion of reality
Stretching far as the eye can see
Don't give up today for tomorrow,
Don't give up the rest of your life so early.
Yes I know you love him
Or at least you think you may,
But if he leaves you empty-handed,
Then what'll you have to say?
I try to help you out,
Yes I try to lend my hand,
But I don't want to break the hourglass

And spill out all the sand
The time goes slipping by now
Just know that when the last grain falls,
I'll be here to help you out,
And I'll stand here through it all.

Poetry

In a world of magazines
Plastic and perfection
It can be hard to feel that you fit in
Just looking at your reflection
Pounds and pounds of makeup
Is what they recommend
But then they tell you to lose weight
'Round every other twist and bend
Turning on the tv now and look at what you'll find
Picture perfect Barbie dolls
All body and no mind
Who cares what your opinion is
Now go and curl your hair
Some get lost forever
In beauty's evil snare
The mirror will attack you
Do not let it consume
Because if you listen to its lies
It will lead you to your doom
I've watched so many people
Friend and family alike
Make their try to be perfect
And end without a life
Be wary of the lies
The corporations tell
Another coin for them
Could mean your own private hell.
