The Most Stupid Presentation Ever

Dad was listening to a presentation he had gotten by email, and I had asked him what it was about. He said it was about natural gas and such, but I decided to listen anyway. It was long and boring, but then, at the end of it, the guy started his marketing speech. Here is how it went to me:

I would really love for YOU to pay ME YOUR hard-earned money, for one newsletter a month. That way, I can go on another vacation so I can take worthless pictures and say that they are of ME inspecting rocks for natural gas. For these pictures to work, you actually have to believe I know what I'm looking at. I do. It's a rock.

By getting my newsletter, you have nothing to lose. ( Except your time, money, and dignity. ) So I really hope you decide to subscribe for a one year membership. Remember, our motto is: Always save your money, but feel free to spend it on us!

Lucky Story

Hi there! It's me, Lucky. I am a happy camper today, because no one has really yelled at me or swatted me. I have just gotten to relax the day away. I am laying at my mistress' feet. I always lay by her when the alpha male is gone. I feel sort of protected- but not by much.

Now my mistress is eating something that smells like chicken and cheese. Boy, does it smell good! I really want a bite- so I am going to beg  pitifully. Yes! I got a piece! But ew!!! It doesn't taste like I thought it would. I am trying to decide if I should snub it or not.\

Now another person has come in- a person named Beth. I know she ALWAYS yells at me. Ugh. I hid under the desk. I felt it was safe to give a friendly sniff, but I got yelled at. Big surprise. I want to take a nap.
Goodbye.

Ashleigh's Dream

Ashleigh was having a really good dream. She was in dessert land, which was a big land made entirely out of desserts. Houses made of cake and jello, rivers of caramel, flowers with chocolate centers, a total dream land. She was sitting on a chair made entirely out of wobbly, floppy jelly. She bounced on it, laughing. This was her kind of place!

Ashleigh decided that while she was in this perfect miracle land, she might as well eat. She ran into a meadow, where there were flowers made entirely of chocolate. She picked one, and bit into it, chewing contently. It was absolutely DELICIOUS! Ashleigh wondered if any people live in the dream land. She decided to find out.

She walked over to a jelly house and walked in. Nobody was there. She walked to the cake house. Nobody. She searched all the houses, but there were no people to talk to. Scared, she started to cry. But then she smelled a familiar smell ... a smell she loved .... BUTTERSCOTCH PUDDING!!!!!!!! Where was the source of this beautiful smell! She ran to the river, and saw that it was entirely butterscotch pudding. She happily jumped in, and woke up chewing her blanket.

Sock Puppet

I have a great craft project to share today. I tried it with my sister, and it was a smashing success. We lose a lot of our socks in the washing machine, and we have had a big pile sitting on our table for days. So yesterday, I put those socks to use. I cut them up and stuffed them to create sock puppets that my sister fell in love with. Here is what I did:

You will need:
Socks
Permanent Marker
Rubber bands

How to do it:
Ok, first take the sock you want as the face and stuff it with other socks until it is the right size for you. Next, right under the stuffed part, tie the rubber band so the stuffing doesn't fall out. Next, cut off some lace and stuff from other socks ( optional ). Decorate your puppet as desired. Then, add a cute face for the finishing touch.

You should now have a really adorable sock puppet. It keeps my sister occupied, and she loves them. I find them cute for decorating.

First Communion

I know that I'm ten, but I haven't had a first communion yet. But my nanny and I have been working on the stuff I need to go for first communion and on May 5th, I will receive my first communion! Also, on the same day, we hope to have my little sister baptized.

My nanny has taught me a lot about the sacraments, sins, confession, about receiving Jesus, everything. I am fully ready to stop being the only one in the choir that hasn't had first communion. Even my best friend, who is younger than me, has had it. I soon will not have to be the only one not to receive!

I can't wait to go shopping for my dress for communion- it'll be so fun! Communion in itself will be fun for me, as I am making it with the group.

That's all for now,

Lucky is 1!

My Lucky puppy is now 1 year old officially! His birthday was yesterday, and we got snow for his birthday! Me and my sister celebrated by making chocolate chip cookies. We got one batch into the oven, and then realized we didn't have enough cookie dough left for a few cookies .... just enough for one, big GIGANTIC cookie in the shape of a dog's face.

I think Lucky had a good birthday. He got extra human food, and extra special treatment. Which means Ashleigh was allowed to dump biscuits down his throat whenever she felt like it. ( Just Kidding. I would NEVER let her. ) Everybody said Happy Birthday to Lucky ( I made SURE that they did, or else no one would have remembered at all. )

So, Lucky, Happy Birthday. I know you've had some bad times this year, but your still learning, and by next year, you'll be trained way better! I know your happy that it snowed, as you love the snow. So have a good rest of the year. :) Maddie

America's Weirdest Resturants

Some of these restaurants are amazingly beautiful and look relaxing, but others, you'd have to pay me a million dollars to eat at! Take, for example, the Casa Bonita. Now THAT is my kind of restaurant. This restaurant has been Colorado's best known for over four decades. This action filled restaurant features cliff divers, an arcade section, a portrait collection, and strolling musicians. It seats 1000 customers.

Now, take a look at Dinner in The Sky diner. It's a restaurant made out of a table and chairs suspended in the air with barely any floor. Held up by a crane 160 feet above ground, this is one place I would NOT want to dine at.

These are only 2 of the crazy restaurants this world has come up with. For more crazy restaurants, check this link out:  http://www.cnbc.com/id/42266618?slide=7 This should give you an idea of what crazy dining is- not a packed restaurant safely resting on the ground.
Please take time to put in the comments what your favorite restaurants from the link I gave you are.
